The Amherst Skating Club is a United States Figure Skating (USFS) club with 120 amateur skaters, both young and adult, and 215 non-skating adult members including parents, coaches and judges. Our home ice is the Amherst Ice Center; a four-rink facility located on Amherst Manor Drive in Amherst, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. AMHERST SKATING CLUB'S 24th ANNUAL INVITATIONAL & BASIC SKILLS COMPETITION NOW AVAILABLE!
You can now download the form for Amherst Skating Club's 24th Annual Invitational & Basic Skills Competition. Sanctioned by US Figure Skating and Skate Canada, the invitational will be offering the International Judging System (IJS) for all Juvenile through Senior Freestyle events. The competition promises to be a great one, allowing skaters the chance to see their program point totals one more time before Regionals. Please follow the link here to get to the competition form.
AMHERST SKATING CLUB'S 3RD ANNUAL BASIC SKILLS COMPETITION
The Amherst Skating Club held their 3rd annual BASIC SKILLS COMPETITION at the AMHERST PEPSI CENTER on March 20, 2010. 85 skaters showed off their basic skills learned through Amherst Skating Club’s highly successful “Skate with U.S” program. The event featured compulsory Moves-in-the-Field and Free Style skating. The Amherst Skating Club offers the United States Figure Skating (USFS) Skate with U.S. to over 600 enrollees annually. The club holds classes in basic skating skills, figure skating, hockey, pre-school and adult only classes. All classes are held at the Amherst Pepsi Center. CONGATULATIONS to Amherst Skating Club members who competed in the 8th Annual Skate Challenge, in Cicero Twin Ice Rinks, Cicero, New York. The two day event was held on March 13 and 14, 2010. With over 34 clubs participating, this competition is becoming more popular. For full results click here

Synchronized skating is a great way to improve your personal skating skills while enjoying the companionship on a team.
